On Wednesday 12 October 2011, Vision 2020 Australia and the Australian Council for International Development co-hosted an event at Parliament House in Canberra—the Parliamentary Friends Group for Eye Health and Vision Care and the Parliamentary Friends of the Millennium Development Goals.
This provided an excellent opportunity to demonstrate to federal parliamentarians and key Government stakeholders the importance of eye health interventions in the context of broader efforts to tackle global poverty.
