RANZCO is committed to promoting high ethical standards in the practice of ophthalmology. To this end, the College endorses the National Code of Medical Practice, developed by the Australian Medical Council, and the New Zealand Code for Good Medical Practice. All previous College codes and statements on ethics have been subsumed by these Codes. These Codes reflect the minimum professional standards expected of College members and will underpin the College's involvement in the education, practice and conduct of its members in the pursuit of ophthalmology.
